PRAYER REQUESTS

    Leonard Bearup is now home after being hospitalized for tests early last week for symptoms of a heart attack.  Thankfully the tests revealed he did not suffer a heart attack.  Kate Bain is now home taking medication to help dissolve a blood clot in her lung.  Harold Hudson is still waiting for the results of his recent cat-scan. Caden Blacker is doing very well after having a mole removed from his head last Monday.  Bertha Kettlewell is in need of encouragement in trying to deal with some personal struggles.

    Ernie Hickenbottom, one of our former members, is recovering from surgery following a major stroke last weekend.  George Patton, Wayne’s brother, is experiencing a series of health problems.  He is to have his pacemaker replaced.  Albert Phillips, Amy Gray’s brother, remains in Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital where he is undergoing physical therapy after suffering a stroke 3 weeks ago.   Rich Gibson remains in OSU James Cancer Center where he is being treated for lymphoma cancer.

Please continue praying for Sue Beisel, Charles Boger, Ken Frye, Blake Gaston (Mike’s 20-month old nephew), Sally Hayes (Nancy Hudson’s daughter-in-law), Judy Kinnemond (Mary Donna Wodarcyk’s daughter-in-law, cancer), Diana Lewis (Dorothy Nice’s daughter), Charles Lucas (father of Jody Vickers & Mary Zink), Rick McKeen Sr. (Rick’s father), Willey Nice (Dorothy’s husband), Charlotte Patton, Brad Poe (one of our former youth ministers), Peg Spielvogel, Jennifer Wheeler (Amy Nestor’s mother) and Ron Woods (Robin Sponhaltz’s father).

Those who are unable to worship with us regularly need our continued encouragement…Evelyn Barker, Ella Bell, Bill & Sue Daley, Mae Deller, Wilda Freeland, Bill Kopyar, Joyce Orzolek, Alice Shunk, Leon & June Smith, Jim  Thrash, Marlene Trisolene and Joanne Wallner.

Let’s never forget to pray for those who are serving in the armed forces…Jason Harris (Bill & Pat Rice’s son-in-law), Chad Huggins, Bill Randolph (Matt’s father), Nathan Rodak (Jay & Rhonda’s son, in Afghanistan) and Joey Stenger (Joe & Karen’s son).

SYMPATHY

Our genuine sympathy is extended to Carol Kovachic in last Monday’s death of her brother, Gene Garczyk.  His funeral was Friday at Toothmans’.

SHEPHERDS-DEACONS-PREACHERS MEETING

All of our shepherds, deacons and preachers will meet in the MP this afternoon at 4:30 for their bi-monthly meeting.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

Everyone is encouraged to return this evening for an abbreviated worship service followed by our quarterly Congregational Meeting during which our shepherds will update us on the work we are doing as a congregation as well as to discuss and receive input regarding our work and our future plans.

FIFTH SUNDAY CONTRIBUTION

As you plan your giving for next Sunday, remember that since next Sunday is a “fifth-Sunday,”  all the contribution will go toward the expansion of our facilities.

IDENTIFIED WITH THE CHURCH FAMILY

Last Sunday morning, a letter was read from the church in Greenville, SC, recommending Darla Yazombek to our fellowship.  Darla lives with her son, Joe Hamm.   We welcome her to the StC church family and look forward to serving with her.

RETURNED TO OHIO

    Bill & Joan Rodak have moved back to Ohio from Florida.   They will be in Care Group B.  We are thankful to have them serving with us again.

WORSHIP SERVICE ON RESERVOIR ROAD

Next Sunday evening, we will meet at our property on  Reservoir Rd. for the 6:00 p.m. worship service followed by a wiener roast.  Come with your Bible, lawn chairs and hearts prepared to praise our Lord.  Don’t forget to bring wieners and buns for the wiener roast afterwards.  In the event of inclement weather, we will meet at the church building.

If you have not been photographed yet for our Pictorial Directory, please sign the list on the bulletin board.   Then get with Brad Schrum, Joyce Slatt or Kay Sowinski to have it taken.  We appreciate your help with a great tool to assist us in becoming better acquainted with each other and for future members to become more quickly acquainted with us.

TND YOUTH DEVOTIONAL

All the teens are invited to Jay & Rhonda Rodak’s this coming Thursday (7:00-9:00 p.m.) for the weekly devotional.

TEEN LOCK-IN

All those in Grades 7-College Age are invited to the “Lock-in” this coming Friday, June 28.  There will be a “Video Scavenger Hunt” from 8-10.  If you can chaperone the Lock-in or drive for the “Scavenger Hunt,” please contact Brad.

WEDNESDAY ADULT SUMMER SERIES

The fourth session of our Adult Summer Series, “Hard Sayings And Neglected Commands,” will be led this week by Jay Rodak who will focus on the topic “Personal Examination” using Mt. 7:3-5 as his beginning text.

CAMP CONCERN

Tomorrow, June 24, is the deadline for registering to avoid the $10.00 late fee for Senior (ages 15-18) and Secondary Weeks (ages 13-14).  The deadline for Intermediate (11-12) and Junior (8-10) Weeks is July 8.   The brochures with the applications and other important information are available in the rack on the table in the foyer.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

In next week’s lesson, “Conversion,” Phil Sanders will examine the need for conversion and the transformation Christians need to make in their lives. The program can be seen weekly on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
