PRAYER CONCERNS

   Arnold Helms, Clara’s husband, is at Cumberland Point for physical therapy.   Darla Gill is recovering from outpatient surgery. Emma Claire Gill broke her collarbone and suffered a concussion. Jimmy Thrash has consulted with a hearing specialist in hopes of getting a cochlear implant to improve his hearing.

IN THE MILITARY

Please continue to pray for those who are serving in the military…C.J. Arnold (Eddie’s brother, Afghanistan), Jason Harris (Bill & Pat Rice’s son-in-law), Chad Huggins,  Bill Randolph (Matt’s father), Nathan Rodak (Jay & Rhonda’s son, in Afghanistan) and Joey Stenger (Joe & Karen’s son in Kenya).

CONGRATULATIONS

Jay & Rhonda Rodak have a new grandson! Mahlon Jay Rodak weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and is 21″ long. We celebrate with them, and continue to pray for the family.

BAPTISM!

Good news! Alicia Estadt, who has been worshipping with us for some time, and active with the teens, was baptized Saturday. She left for college in Pittsburgh this past week. Her college address will be included in the college address insert.  Alicia will be in Care Group B.

NEW MEMBER

Blaise Robson,  a teen who was baptized at Camp Concern this summer, has placed membership with us, to join the work God is doing among us. We welcome him to the family.  He will be in Care Group A.

SHEPHERDS-DEACONS-PREACHERS MEETING

The shepherds and deacons will meet this afternoon at 4:30 in the multi-purpose room. Suggested budgets for deacons’ respective areas of service are due.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT CLASS

We our continuing our Wednesday night adult study through the books of  I & II Corinthians. Tim McKeen is set to continue our discussion of II Corinthians this week.

We also have Bible-based interactive classes for children of all ages.

COINS FOR CHILDREN

Remember to save your loose change to help with the support of the children who reside at Potter’s Children Home in Bowling Green, KY.  The deadline for returning the cans will be Nov. 10.

FREE BOOKS AVAILABLE

Everett has left several of his books on the shelves in the preacher’s office which he no longer wants or needs.  He is offering them free of charge to anyone who would like to have them to assist in their study of the Bible.   Please do not take any from the shelves which have cards with names on them.

FALL RETREAT

The teen’s Fall Retreat is just around the corner—November 8th-10th. It will be held at Grandvue Park in Moundsville, West Virginia. All teens are encouraged to be a part of the weekend. Chaperones will also be needed as well. If you questions, or would like more information, please see Brad.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

God desires that husbands and wives maintain a close, loving relationship with each other.  Husbands and wives should share their hearts and lives with each other emotionally and  spiritually.

Next week’s lesson by Phil Sanders is, “Building Intimacy”.  The televised program can be seen locally every Sunday, 7:30a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
