If you can prepare the communion for one month in 2014, please sign your name to the list on the bulletin board next to the month you prefer. If you’ve not prepared communion before, and have questions, just ask.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

There will be a congregational meeting following next week’s evening worship, during which time the shepherds will seek feedback on how we think God might be leading us into the future.

CONGREGATION INFO UPDATES

Please check out the book rack next to the main entrance door… available are Care Group Lists, Congregation Calendars, E-Mail Addresses, Additions & Correction addresses and Friends of the Congregation addresses.

THANKSGIVING DEVOTIONAL

On Wednesday, November 27th, we will be having our annual Thanksgiving devotional. Several of our men and boys will be leading us as we reflect on and give thanks for God’s blessings. There will be no classes.

CD CASES

The church office is looking for any tall cylindrical CD cases used to store stacks of CDs or DVDs. If you have some we could use, drop them off in Joyce’s office.

FREE BOOKS AVAILABLE

There are several books left in the preachers office, free for anyone who can use them. If you are interested, take a look and help yourself.

WAYS TO MINISTER TO OTHERS

We are continuing to collect the fronts of used greeting cards.  (No Christmas Cards, please.)

“Box Tops for Education” and “Campbell’s Labels for Education” are needed by Mid-Western Children’s Home. Only the UPC label is necessary.  To save time and shipping expense, please cut the label out before placing them in the box in the hallway.

If you want to help with any of these ongoing ministries, please bring the items and place them in the containers on the table in the hallway.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

Perhaps no characteristic of life so describes the heart of a Christian as does that of thanksgiving and appreciation for what God has done for us.  We love, because He first loved us.  Thanksgiving means thanks living.

Next week’s lesson by Phil Sanders is, “Let Us Give Thanks”.  The program can be seen locally every Sunday, 7:30a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
