Edie Roberts is recovering from last Monday’s surgery to remove a section of her colon.  Kevin Kalany was to return home permanently last Thursday. However, his contact with other people is very limited while his immune system continues to rebuild.  He will return to Morgantown for weekly checkups.  Evelyn Barker injured her foot in a fall last week. Gregg Voscavitch is to have some cancerous spots on his neck and left temple area removed on Aug. 1.

Curtis Blake, Darlene Straub’s father and Mel Hannan’s father-in-law, is now under Hospice Care at home.  Brenda Mullen, the Sowinskis’ neighbor, remains in a coma in ICU at OVMC.  Donna Morris, a good friend of Bunky Loy, is suffering from chronic pain in her jaw and temple.  Wanda Dunham, Becky Groves’ mother, is in critical condition in Trinity East Acuity Care Center in Steubenville.

OUR MILITARY PERSONNEL

Let’s continue our prayers for those of our church family and extended church family who are serving in the military… Nathan Rodak (Bill & Joan’s grandson), Marc & Kristen Roy (Pearl Roy’s grandson & granddaughter), Joe Stenger and Dylan Usenick.

WELCOME BACK HOME

We were delighted last Sunday morning when a letter was read from Rich & Julie Daley expressing their desire to identify with the St.C. church family and to work under the oversight of our shepherds.  They have recently returned to the area after living 25 years in northern Ohio.   We are happy to have them back with us and look forward to many years of serving with them in the body.   They along with their daughter, Amanda  Morgan, and her two children, Tyler and Alexis will be in Care Group A.

MINISTRY OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Teams 1,3&4 will lead our Ministry of Encouragement for the next two weeks.

TEEN DEVO

The Thursday Night Devotional (TND) will be hosted by the Sowinskis this coming Thursday, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

CAMP CONCERN

Brad and several of our youth, ages 13 & 14, will be leaving for Camp Concern this afternoon.  Let’s pray that they have a spiritually uplifting and safe week.  The week for ages 11 & 12 will begin next Sunday.  Don’t forget to let us know of any awards your child wins at any church camp this summer.  Write their name, award, name of the camp and week of camp on a card and give it to Joyce by August 8.  We want to publish in the bulletin in mid-August.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

In only 3 weeks, our VBS will begin—Aug. 8-12.  This year we will be studying “Lessons From The Life of Moses” each evening, 6:30-8:30 (Monday-Thursday), with the closing program on Friday at 7:00 p.m.  There will be classes for all those who are Age 3-Grade 6 as well as a class for Adults led by area preachers.  Contact Dennie Green, if you would like to help in any way.

HELP WITH VBS FOOD ITEMS NEEDED

If you would like to make a cash donation to help with the purchase of the food items for VBS, please give your money to Kathy Green.  You can make checks payable to her also.

There will be a meeting today at 5:00 in the MP Room for anyone who would like to help prepare or serve the food.

WEDNESDAY ADULT CLASS SERIES

The summer series in the Wednesday Adult Class has been outstanding so far.  In this week’s study, “Go Back…Be Persistent,” Kyle Sowinski will lead the class using Acts 5:20 as his beginning text.

WAYS TO MINISTER TO OTHERS

We are still collecting cartridges from Inkjets and Faxes to help with the support of the children who reside at the Shulz-Lewis Children’s Home.

“Box Tops for Education” and “Campbell’s Labels for Education” are needed by Mid-Western Children’s Home. Only the UPC label is necessary.  To save time and shipping expense, please cut the label out before placing them in the box in the hallway.

Please place the items in the appropriate containers on the table in the hallway.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

Phil Sanders’ announced topic for next Sunday’s  lesson is “The Way of A Fool.”  The broadcast can be seen locally every Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WTRF-TV, ch. 7.
