PRAYER CONCERNS

      Dr. Patrick Dunster (co-worker of Janet Lallathin) was recently diagnosed with cancer. Kelly Hupp (friend of Kay Sowinski) whose daughter drowned last October, has asked for many prayers: a biopsy for potential breast cancer, & Kelly’s brother, sister-in-law and their 3 year old son were involved in an serious car accident last week and are in serious condition.  The baby has a broken spinal column & has no feeling in his legs.

Kay Sowinski injured her ribs and shoulder blade muscles.  Sarah (Atkinson) Shuman who has been waiting for a heart transplant, had a stroke last Saturday resulting in a  blood clot  in her brain.  Doctors are waiting for the bleeding to stop before proceeding.

Please continue your prayers for those for whom prayer has been requested recently: Kate Bain,  Wyatt (Jason & Angel Baker’s foster baby, broken leg), Gail Bigler (recovering from neck surgery),  Joe Bine (Pat Rice’s brother), Bob Digiandomenico (broken arm), Gunner Dudzik (friend of Jodi Frye, 3 1/2 years old), Karen Jones (mother of Leslie Huffman’s co-worker, brain cancer), Judy Kinemond (Mary Donna Wodarcyk’s daughter-in-law, cancer, Arlene Kopyar, Danny McMillan (broken hip), Matthew Mead (John Burghy’s nephew), June Metcalf  (Amy Games’ mother – dementia), Ruth Ann Miller (Nancy Miller’s sister, Parkinson’s) and Margaret Noling  (John’s mother, MRSA).  Albert “Sonny” Phillips, Amy Gray’s brother (Heartland Nursing Home), Mia Rathe, a 3-year old friend of the Dukes), Kristen Pierce-Rice (Bill Rice’s great niece, Hodgkin’s Lymphoma), Bill Saunders (knee replacement), Peg Spielvogel, Rick Sowinski (John’s brother), Christine Starcher (John Burghy’s sister, heart attack) Colten Strauss (spleen injury), and Jimmy Thrash (hearing).

 IN THE MILITARY

Please continue to pray for those who are serving in the military…C.J. Arnold (Eddie’s brother, Afghanistan), Jason Harris (Bill & Pat Rice’s son-in-law), Chad Huggins,  Bill Randolph (Matt’s father), Nathan Rodak (Jay & Rhonda’s son, in California) and Joey Stenger (Joe & Karen’s son in Kenya).

FALL RETREAT

This weekend, a group of over 35 teens and chaperones have been worshiping together at Grandvue Park in Moundsville. They plan to be back after worship services this morning.

SUNDAY SPEAKERS

This Sunday, while Brad is with the teens, Rob Miller will be presenting a message during the morning worship. This evening, Tim McKeen  will be bringing the message during the Sunday night  service.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

There will be a brief congregational meeting following a shortened worship service this Sunday evening.

PREPARE COMMUNION FOR 2014

If you can prepare the communion for one month in 2014, please sign your name to the list on the bulletin board next to the month you prefer. If you’ve not prepared communion before, and have questions, just ask.

There are several books left in the preachers office, free for anyone who can use them. If you are interested, take a look and help yourself.

COINS FOR CHILDREN

If you have been saving your loose change to help with the support of the children who reside at Potter’s Children Home in Bowling Green, KY, the deadline for returning the cans will be today, Nov. 10.

CD CASES

The church office is looking for any tall cylindrical CD cases used to store stacks of CDs or DVDs. If you have some we could use, drop them off in Joyce’s office.

CHURCH WIFI PASSWORD

For those who need an internet connection to access Bible applications, we have a limited WIFI for the auditorium. The network is “STCCHURCH” and the password is “stcfamily” (without quotations).

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

While the Bible is still the number one bestseller of all time, and while 82 percent of Americans revere the Bible as sacred literature, they simply don’t read it and don’t know what it actually teaches.
