PRAYER CONCERNS

Carol & Ken Frye are both recovering from a stomach virus. Bertha Kettlewell is unable to receive experimental treatments for her cancer, but she remains in good spirits and little pain. Camden Judge has strep throat. Angel Vilano has pneumonia.

SYMPATHY

We extend our sympathy to Randy Gallagher and family. Randy’s aunt, Rose Mengon, passed away last week.

MID-WEEK BIBLE STUDIES

The mid-week bible studies for the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s Day (both of which are Wednesdays) have been moved to Thursday.

RESTORED

We celebrate with Linda Fitch, who was restored to the Lord’s body last Sunday. We welcome her to the family here, as we all walk in renewed faith together.

MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP

Because of the cancellation last week, the monthly fellowship to honor those with birthdays and anniversaries in the month of December will following this evening’s services. Care Group B is in charge of the arrangements.

CD CASES

The church office is looking for any tall cylindrical CD cases used to store stacks of CDs or DVDs. If you have some we could use, drop them off in Joyce’s office.

WINTERFEST

The teens will be headed to Gatlinburg, TN for  Winterfest, February 14-16. All teens in grade 7 and up are encouraged to come.

HEART TO HEART

There are several copies of the most recent edition of “Heart to Heart, House to House”, which we mail around the community, available on the table by the main entrance and in the hallway across from the preacher’s office. Please take them to use and distribute as you can.

CONGREGATION INFO UPDATES

Newly updated Care Group Calling Chains are available in the rack by the main entrance. Please make sure you have the up-to-date information, especially as winter weather nears.

THANK YOU

The Potter Children’s Home has sent us a “thank you” for our gleaner gift of $395.85 which they received from us last month.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

No event in history can equal the coming of the Son of God into the world.  Jesus is no ordinary person!  Because of Jesus, we have hope, the forgiveness of sin, and eternal life.  Jesus is the greatest gift of all.

Next week’s lesson by Phil Sanders is, “Because of Jesus”.  The program can be seen locally every Sunday, 7:30a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
