 PRAYER REQUESTS

  Jackie Huntsman is recovering after having a sewing needle removed from her foot a few day ago. Charles Boger underwent outpatient surgery on his right eye last Monday to relieve some of the pressure.  Charlotte Patton continues her recovery at home from rotator cuff surgery.  Gail Bigler’s bruised leg is gradually improving.  Mike Vilano has recently been diagnosed as having diabetes.  Mary Taylor is recovering from a surgical procedure to control her diabetes.  Her return to Ohio from Florida will be delayed by a few weeks while she recovers.  Alicia Estadt suffered a concussion in a fall last Sunday evening.

Don Kettlewell, Bertha’s husband,  is experiencing problem with his blood count.  Dorothy Moore, Jerry’s mother, is now in a nursing home after being hospitalized last week for a hemorrhagic stroke which she suffered during a fall which injured her head.   Starling Green, Dennie’s uncle, was admitted to a Zanesville hospital last Tuesday with an irregular heart beat.

Our prayers are still needed for those for whom they have been requested recently…Larry Barbe (Angel Baker’s father), Randy Bernard (friend of Jimmy Thrash), P.J. Blake (Freda Blake’s daughter-in-law), Clyde Carpenter, Kyle Digiandomenico (mission trip to Taiwan), Jane Forbes (friend of Charles Hope), Ken Frye, Kelsey Gilbert (Jimmy Thrash’s cousin), Faith Hilton (Bunky Loy’s granddaughter), Kevin Kalany, Judy Kinemond (Mary Donna Wodarcyk’s daughter-in-law, cancer), Charlotte Mason (Mae Deller’s daughter), Wayne Patton, Pearl Roy, Peg Spielvogel, Frank Sponhaltz and Jennifer Wheeler (Amy Nestor’s mother).

Those who are no longer able to worship with us regularly need our continued support…Evelyn Barker, Ella Bell, Bill & Sue Daley, Mae Deller, Wilda Freeland, Ethel Kent,  Bill Kopyar, Joyce Orzolek, Alice Shunk, Leon & June Smith, Jim  Thrash, Marlene Trisolene and Joanne Wallner.

Please continue your prayers for those who are serving our country in the military…Jason Harris (Bill & Pat Rice’s son-in-law), Chad Huggins (back in the States), Bill Randolph (Matt’s father), Nathan Rodak (Jay & Rhonda’s son, in Afghanistan) and Joey Stenger (Joe & Karen’s son).

SYMPATHY

We extend our deepest sympathy to Jesse Blacker in the recent death of his grandmother, Madge Blacker. Her funeral was last Tuesday in Bridgeport.

2013 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

During the morning worship services on June 9 we are planning to honor the following who are graduating from high school this Spring: Bridgeport: Emily Nowakowski; Home School: Rebekah Dukes and Michaela Hinkle; Marysville: Kristin Bass; St. Clairsville: Paige Hashman and Kyle Lachendro; Union Local: Alicia Estadt, Riley McDiffitt, Sarah Shepherd and Chelsea Turner and from Wheeling Park: Gunner Usenick.  Please let Joyce Slatt know, if anyone from our StC church family has been omitted.

Please let Joyce know of anyone from our church family who is graduating from College or a Technical School this Spring.  Please write their names on a card along with their school’s name and the student’s degree and give it to Joyce Slatt.

High School Graduates, we would like to have one of your senior pictures and Graduation Announcements for the bulletin board.  Please bring them and give them to Joyce Slatt by next Sunday, May 26.

ELMER PARSONS RETREAT

Brad Schrum and a few of our youth have been participating in the Youth Retreat at Tomlinson Run State Park this weekend.  They are planning to return home this afternoon.

    Brad Schrum will be out of the office this week while he takes a well-deserved vacation.

SUMMER YOUTH DEVOS

If you would like to host the youth in your home for one of their Thursday Night Devos, please sign your name by the preferred date on the list on the bulletin board.  See Brad, if you have any questions.

TEACHER SIGN-UP SCHEDULE

If you are willing to help our children better understand the Bible and draw closer to the Lord, please sign the list by the class you would like to teach for a quarter(s) during the next 12 months.  If you have any questions, please contact Angel Baker or Sally McDiffitt.

WEDNESDAY ADULT SUMMER SERIES

We still need 2 men to lead a class discussion during this summer’s Wednesday Adult Series.  If you are willing to teach, please contact Brian Games for dates and topics.

MINISTRY OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Teams 1 & 5 will lead our Ministry of Encouragement for the next two weeks.

BORROWING TABLES OR CHAIRS

If any member of our church family needs chairs or tables for a private activity,  the metal chairs in the MP Room and the brown-topped tables in the basement are available for use.  Please be sure to sign the list on the bulletin board in the secretary’s office when you take them as well as when you return them.  Please be sure to wipe them off before returning them.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

In next week’s sermon, “A Change of Heart,” Phil Sanders will discuss the needed transition to serve God.  The program can be seen locally every Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
