New requests & updates: Scarlet James (Nettie Hartung’s 2yr old niece) had a large tumor removed from her colon. There have been additional complications and follow-up testing. Donna Morris was in the hospital last week. She is now home. Wayne Patton’s sister Carol (in Florida) may be facing surgery soon. Martha Reed (Nancy Miller’s mother) underwent surgery for a broken hip. She is doing well.

Appreciation Day: We are planning an Appreciation Day on May 21 to recognize all those who played a part in our building project. During our morning gathering time, we will praise God for all his work throughout the project, and we will thank all those through whom he worked. After the morning service, we will be sharing a meal together. If you think you will stay for the meal, please sign up on the bulletin board to help us know how many to plan for. Roger Devore will be barbecuing chicken for us! We will need drinks, sides, & desserts.

Ladies Class: The ladies’ class will meet Tuesday at 6pm in the Fireside Room.

Softball Team: If you are interested in playing on a church softball team for men & women (ages 16 & up), see Keaton or Tim.

Vacation Bible School: Mark your calendars! After a couple years hiatus, we are planning VBS again this year for August 7-11. There will be a VBS planning meeting today at 4:30 in the Fireside Room. Come share your thoughts as we brainstorm & begin preparations for a great VBS.

High School Graduates: We will honor our high school graduates on May 28. We need graduation announcements & information for all grades by May 21. See Keaton or Brad.

Sympathy: We extend our sympathy to Wally McCabe and his family. His mother, Dorothy McCabe passed away last Saturday. The services were on Friday.

Baptism: Vera Perry made the decision to be baptized last week. Keep her in prayer.

Graduation Parties: Hannah Baker will be having a graduation party here at the building on May 29 from 1-4pm. If you plan to attend, please sign up on the bulletin board by the offices. The Schmidlis will be having a graduation party for Taylor Fullen, Gabriella Kanters & Sierra Schmidli on Sat., May 27 from 4-7 at their house.

Ladies Day: Beallsville Church of Christ, May 9th.

Join us for Bible Classes! We have bible classes for all ages on Sundays at 9am & Wednesday at 7pm. The Wed. adult class is in 1 Timothy 4.

Getting Plugged In: Pray for those who are sick and hurting & writing cards for them. Take food or provide other assistance to the sick or grieving. Go out of your way to welcome guests in our worship gatherings. Volunteer to teach a children’s class. or assist in our Children’s Ministry. No experience needed, just a willingness to serve! Help in our nursery & kids’s classes. Visit, call and write our shut-ins. Come up with creative ways we can fulfill our mission to love God and to love people. Be active in telling the good news and loving people in practical & intentional ways. Participate and serve in our worship gatherings and classes.
