TEEN DEVO

GLEANER CANS

There are more gleaner cans available on the table in the back hallway to collect your loose change to help with the Potter’s Children’s Home. They will be due back Oct. 21st. If you have some that are full, you can bring them in and give them to Brad. Feel free to begin a second can.

GUEST SPEAKING

This Wednesday, Brad will be preaching at the Grand Central Church in Parkersburg. Please be praying that God would use him to encourage that congregation.

BIBLE CLASSES

On Sunday mornings at 9am and Wednesday nights at 7pm we have Bible classes for adults and children of all ages.

DISHES

There are several dishes on the table across from Brad’s office. Please check and see if they are yours.

JAMES 1.26-27

“If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

Why is visiting orphans and widows pure religion?  Are there other folks who we could add to the list to visit in the same spirit?  What is involved in this visiting?

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Summer Quarter in our Children’s Ministry is in full swing. Thanks to all our teachers! Fall Quarter will be here before we know it, and there are still some open spots for teachers. If you can teach, please sign the list across from Keaton’s office.

COLLECTING SHOES, CARDS & PILLOWCASES

Dot Saunders is collecting shoes of any size (male or female) in any condition for a fundraiser in helping a boy who has Muscular Dystrophy get a much needed wheel chair accessible van.   In exchange for the shoes, they will receive cash and the shoes will be sent to third world countries. See Dot for any questions you may have.

Dot Saunders and Alicia Estadt are also collecting homemade pillowcases and Christmas cards for Liza’s Place and local nursing homes. Please see Dot or Alicia for more information.
