V.B.S.
The theme for our VBS this year is Epic: Bible Blockbuster exploring some of the exciting and dramatic stories in the Scriptures. The dates are August 6-9 from 6:30-8:30 each evening, with classes and activities for children and adults. Wednesday night will feature a condensed activity schedule, and will conclude with a short slideshow and summary of the weeks activities, followed by an ice cream social. Make plans to be here each night, and don’t forget to invite your friends & family!

V.B.S. Needs
VBS will be here before we know it, and we need all the help we can get! VBS will only be a success if everyone gets involved. We need help teaching, decorating, registering students, refreshments, team-leading, and all kinds of other things. There are always financial needs as well. If you want to help, you can sign up on the bulletin board, or see Dennie, Brad or Keaton.

Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to the family of Mae Deller who passed away last Sunday. Services were held on Friday.
Karen Dunfee (Dana Ramsay’s sister) passed away last week after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services were held on Wednesday.

“The God We Serve”
The Wednesday night summer series continues this week. Jerry Moore will be teaching “The God Who Hears” from Genesis 29-30. Read ahead and come ready to discuss.

Student Ministry TND
During the weeks of Camp Concern, there will not be any Thursday Night Devotionals. In the past, we have always gone as a group to visit Camp on Thursdays. This year, however, the camp board of directors has asked that churches avoid coming as one big group. You are still more than welcome to visit. They just ask that we stagger those visits as much as possible.

Camp Concern
Secondary Week at Camp Concern begins today! Keep the campers and the staff in your prayers!

Kid’s Ministry Training Class
In order to help our kid’s ministry teachers, and especially to help equip those who may be interested in teaching, we will be having a training class one day the week of July 16-22. The class will teach many of the songs used in the kid’s ministry, and give some other helpful tips. There is a sign-up on the bulletin board by the offices. If you have questions, see Sally McDiffitt, Jodi Frye, Leslie Judge, or Lisa Johnson.
