FIFTH SUNDAY CONTRIBUTION

As you plan your giving for next Sunday, remember it is a “fifth-Sunday” which means that all of the contribution will go toward the retirement of our debt on the property on Reservoir Rd.

WEDNESDAY SUMMER ADULT SERIES

In this coming Wednesday’s Adult Class, Dennie Green will lead the class in a study of “Jesus The True Vine” using Jn. 15 as his basic text.  The summer study of “The Portraits of Christ in John” has been an excellent one which continues to enhance our appreciation of Jesus.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

The start of Vacation Bible School is only 3 weeks away—Aug. 6-10 (6:30-8:30 p.m.).  Our theme is “Daniel, A Man of Focus.”  There will be classes for Ages 3-Grade 6 and Adults.

Cash donations are still needed for help in purchasing food items for our Bakery.  If you would like to help, please give the money to Kathy Green.

If you can help transport the VBS construction materials this coming Saturday, July 28, be at the church building by 8:30 a.m.  Let Dennie Green know if you are going to be able to help.

CAMP CONCERN

Children, ages 11-12 will leave for a week at Camp Concern this afternoon.  Those who are ages 8-10 will be participating in Junior Week beginning next Sunday.

Parents, please remember if your child wins any awards at any church camp this summer, please write their name, camp name and award on a card and give it to Joyce by August 8.

YOUTH THURSDAY NIGHT DEVOTIONAL

Due to Brad’s being at Camp Concern this week, there will be no TND.  Instead, they will meet at the church’s property on Reservoir Road, 7:00-9:00 Saturday evening. Contact Brad for more information.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

The Lord Jesus treasured the church He purchased with His own blood as His bride. In the Book of Ephesians, Paul emphasizes that husbands should love their wives even as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her.  In next week’s presentation, “The Church Jesus Built,” Phil Sanders will discuss the connection between Jesus and His church.  The nationally televised weekly program can be seen locally on  Sundays at 7:30 a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
