PRAYER REQUESTS

Sue Wirsing’s tests revealed that she has a staph infection in her brain and her lungs.  She is undergoing outpatient IV therapy while she stays with her daughter near Nashville.   Bill Kopyar’s condition is declining at home.  Pam Thrash spent several days in Wheeling Hospital last week after a series of falls last Sunday.  Following her hospitalization, she will go to Forest Hills for a couple weeks of therapy.  Jim Thrash is now at Barnesville Health Care Center. Ron Baker, Darlene’s husband, was hospitalized a few days last week being treated for seizures.  Jim Saus who has been worshipping with us the past few weeks was to undergo a treatment last Friday to expand a narrowing of his esophagus. Paul Moore, Brenda Sponhaltz’s brother-in-law, remains in critical condition in the James Cancer  Center in Columbus.

Clay Zapp, a baby of good friends of Brad & Amanda Schrum, is now home after being hospitalized for seizures last week.  Nelson Gaston, Mike’s father, is having difficulty in coping with his having to go on dialysis.  Elda Rubel, a friend of the Greens from Centerville, has pancreatic cancer and is not doing very well.  Beverly Shaw, a good friend of Dee Withers, underwent successful triple by-pass heart surgery last Tuesday in Columbus.

Please continue your prayers for those for whom our prayers have been requested recently…Evelyn Barker, Holly Bine (Pat Rice’s brother, cancer), Charles Boger, Hilda Eimer (Mary Donna Wodarcyk’s sister), Brian Games, Barbara Hores (John Noling’s cousin, bone cancer), Kevin Kalany, Judy Kinemond  (Mary Donna Wodarcyk’s daughter-in-law, cancer), Charlotte Mason (Mae Deller’s daughter, cancer), Nancy Miller, Peg Spielvogel, Zachary Vickers and Bill White (Tina Hayes’ brother-in-law).

It’s good to have Sue Beisel, back in the States for a few weeks as she takes a break from teaching in Equatorial Guinea.

NEW BROTHER IN CHRIST

We rejoice with Alex Sitar in his decision to put Christ on in baptism last Monday evening.     He will be in Care Group A.  We welcome Alex to our church family and pray for many years of productive service for our Lord and His body.

CONGRATULATIONS

We congratulate Jamie & Derek Lucas on last Tuesday’s birth of their second child. Their new daughter, Brynlee Loelle weighed 6 lbs. 2.5 oz. and measured 20 in.  They were to return home last Thursday or Friday.

WEDNESDAY SUMMER ADULT SERIES

    This coming Wednesday, we will resume our summer series, “The Portraits of Christ in John”   as Jay Rodak leads us in a study of  “Jesus, The Victor Over Death” using John 20 as his text.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

We want to thank everyone who helped in anyway to make VBS 2012 another great  success.  The true results will only be seen in the lives of all students, teachers and other volunteers in years to come. Thank you again for all your hard work.

YOUTH ACTIVITY

    All the children who are in Grades 3 through Grade 6 are invited to return to the church building at 1:00 this afternoon for 2 hours of devotional and recreational activities.  It will end at 3:00.  Contact Brad Schrum for more details.

YOUTH THURSDAY NIGHT DEVOTIONAL

    The final scheduled TND will be this coming Thursday at the Games’ in Moundsville beginning at 7:00 p.m.

CAMP AWARDS

    We want to congratulate all of our campers who excelled in any way at camp this year.

SHEPHERDS-DEACONS-PREACHERS MEETING

There will be a meeting of the shepherds, deacons and preachers next Sunday at 4:30 in the MP Room.

MINISTRY OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Teams 1,2&4 will lead our Ministry of Encouraging Others for the next two weeks.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY
