 MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP

We will gather for a fellowship meal following our worship time this evening. Care Group B will be in charge.

ATTENDED NURSERY

We need volunteers for the attended nursery during our Sunday morning worship gathering. If we have enough volunteers, it will only be a commitment for one Sunday morning every other month. This is an important ministry to help serve families with young children.

MINISTRY MEETING

There will be a ministry meeting for the shepherds, deacons, and preachers on August 16th at 4:30pm in the MP Room.

 GLEANER CANS

There are more gleaner cans available on the table in the back hallway to collect your loose change to help with the Potter’s Children’s Home. As your can fills up, bring it in and pickup another.

 COLLECTING SHOES, CARDS & PILLOWCASES

Dot Saunders is collecting shoes of any size (male or female) in any condition for a fundraiser in helping a boy who has Muscular Dystrophy get a much needed wheel chair accessible van.   In exchange for the shoes, they will receive cash and the shoes will be sent to third world countries. Dot will be collecting the shoes through August 22nd.

Dot Saunders and Alicia Estadt are also collecting homemade pillowcases and Christmas cards for Liza’s Place and local nursing homes. Please see Dot or Alicia for more information.

MONEY CARD WEDDING SHOWER

There will be a money card wedding shower in honor of Justin Gallagher and his fiancé Rebecca. You may give your money to Linda Gooch or Joyce Slatt.

TEEN DEVOTIONAL

CALENDAR CORRECTION

SCRIPTURE OF THE MONTH:

JAMES 1.26-27

“If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

 WEDNESDAY NIGHT ADULT CLASS

Thanks to all the men who helped teach in our summer series! It has been a great series learning together. Beginning this Wednesday, Jay Rodak, Doug Frye, and Brad Schrum will be leading us through the book of 1 & 2 Thessalonians.
