PRAYER CONCERNS
Clyde Carpenter will be having back surgery in the near future. Wes Crum (one of our former youth ministers) underwent surgery again this past week to insert a new shunt in his head.

WEDDING SHOWER
The money card wedding shower for Justin & Rebecca Gallagher will be in conjunction with our September Fellowship. You may give your money to Linda Gooch or Joyce Slatt.
ATTENDED NURSERY
We need volunteers for the attended nursery during our Sunday morning worship gathering. If we have enough volunteers, it will only be a commitment for one Sunday morning every other month. This is an important ministry to help serve families with young children.

SYMPATHY
Deepest sympathy goes out to Melvin Hannan at the death of his father, Jack Hannan, who passed away Aug. 6.
Also our sympathy is extended to John & Elaine Sambuco. Elaine’s cousin’s husband, Scott Miller, passed away recently. Scott was a deacon at the Belpre church of Christ.
JUNIOR YOUTH RALLY
The Whitehall Junior Youth Rally is Saturday, Sept. 12th for ages 8-11. Cost is FREE! To register or help chaperone, please see Keaton.
PROMOTION SUNDAY
Next Sunday, September 6th will be promotion day for our Kid’s Ministry. All those moving up to a new class will do so on September 6th.
As a new quarter and a new school year begins, now is a great time to begin participating in Bible class, if you are not already involved.
NORTH HILLS YOUTH RALLY
The North Hills Youth Rally will be September 25th-26th. To register or help chaperone, see Keaton.
YOUTH LED WORSHIP
During our evening worship time, our young men will be leading us. It is always a great opportunity to both encourage those who are stepping up to lead, and to be encouraged as well. Make plans to come!
GLEANER CANS
The gleaner cans for Potter Children’s are due back Oct. 21st. If you have any that are full or beginning to fill up, please bring them in and give them to Brad. There are still more cans for those who want to continue to collect.
BUILDING FUND CONTRIBUTION
Today is a fifth Sunday, which means our contribution will go toward the new building project.
COLLECTING SHOES, CARDS & PILLOWCASES
Thanks to everyone who brought shoes to help the boy with Muscular Dystrophy get a much needed wheel chair accessible van.
Dot Saunders and Alicia Estadt are also collecting homemade pillowcases and Christmas cards for Liza’s Place and local nursing homes. Please see Dot or Alicia for more information.
