PRAYER CONCERNS

Clyde Carpenter is scheduled for much needed back surgery on September 23rd. Prayers are needed especially that his a-fib complications will not prevent surgery. Skip Gooch has been having hip problems. Frank Sponhaltz has been in the hospital with heart problems. Nancy Stonebraker had her bottom teeth pulled and is recovering.

Please continue your prayers for those who need our continued prayers:    Jim Bass, Julie Beazel (Karen Miller’s daughter, blood clots, lungs), Barbara Brewer (Leslie Judge’s mother, brain lesions and lung surgery), Alicia Estadt, Emma Claire Gill (tonsils), Ed Hirauk, Janie Judge (Jamie’s mother), Molly Leonard (Sam & Delores Burkhart’s daughter, lung cancer), Ona McKelvey (friend of Darla Yazombek, surgery Sept. 17), Tara McAlonan (Donna Burghy’s cousin), Leah McIntosh (age 4, leukemia; Elaine Sambuco’s cousin), Chuck and Theresa Monroe (friends of Dot Saunders), Jimmy Thrash and Bill White (relative of Tina Hayes; heart problems).

IN THE MILITARY

NORTH HILLS YOUTH RALLY

The North Hills Youth Rally will be September 25th-26th. To register or help chaperone, see Keaton. There are registration forms available on the table in the lobby. Money & Forms are due TODAY.

GROUND BREAKING

     We are scheduled to close on the Woodbury’s building on September 15th. We are planning a ground breaking service for Sunday September 20th. We will meet for normal bible classes at 9, followed by an abbreviated worship service at the building at 10am. After morning worship we will have a pot-luck lunch, followed by a ground breaking worship and prayer service at the new property. Make plans to be there for this important step forward and celebration of new beginnings! God has blessed us and we are excited about his future for us!

KID’S CLASS DURING WORSHIP

We need volunteers for the kid’s class during our Sunday morning worship gathering. Beginning in October, those serving in this ministry will be listed on the service responsibility schedule on the back of each month’s calendar.

WORSHIP AT FOREST HILLS

This afternoon, we will be leading worship at Forest Hills Nursing Home at 2:30. Make plans to participate! We want as many people there to encourage the residents as possible!

GLEANER CANS

The gleaner cans for Potter Children’s are due back Oct. 21st. If you have any that are full or beginning to fill up, please bring them in and give them to Brad. There are still more cans for those who want to continue to collect.

FALL RETREAT

Teens, parents, & chaperones, be making plans to be a part of Fall Retreat on November 6-8th.

TRUNK-OR-TREAT

     Plans are underway for Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 24th. We are excited about this outreach opportunity and a chance to have fun together. There will be a way for everyone to get involved!

PARKING LOT AT THE NEW PROPERTY

A construction company will be leasing part of the gravel lot at the new property.

AN ACTIVE FAITH

The life of following Jesus is an active life. We’ve been invited to put our faith in action. As a church, we’re always trying to find ways to live this active faith. Here a just a few ways for you to get involved. This is just a starting point!

  • Praying for those who are sick and hurting & writing cards for them.
  • Become a part of the Ministry of Encouragement.
  • Give old eye classes, ink cartridges, greeting cards, “Box Tops & Campbell’s Labels for Education, for various ministries.
